7 – Ko Pha Ngan, Thailand

30 – Bloubergstrand, South Africa

For beautiful beaches, water sports, and hiking, check out the residential area of Bloubergstrand, in Cape Town. The area gets its name from the nearby hill, Blaauwberg in Afrikaans, where you can hike for amazing coastal views.

Bloubergstrand is better known for the beach of the same name, where the number one activity you must try is kitesurfing. From the beach, you can see Robben Island, famous for housing the prison where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned. Take a half-day tour to discover the island and its main landmarks.

While you’re in Bloubergstrand, make sure to spend some time discovering Cape Town’s city center, take a cable car to Table Mountain, and go watch the penguins at Boulders Beach.

Oceania

31 – Auckland, New Zealand

If you want to visit New Zealand, Auckland is guaranteed to offer you a mix of cultural activities, beautiful nature, and vibrant nightlife. Visit the museums, stroll around the Auckland Botanic Gardens, and go shopping on Queen Street.

The best views in the city are from the Sky Tower. If you’re looking for an adrenaline rush, experience the Sky Walk or, even better, the Sky Jump, a leap in the void over the skyline of Auckland.

Other activities worth adding to your itinerary are a whale safari in the Hauraki Gulf, stargazing on the Great Barrier Island, and a day trip to one of New Zealand’s famous wine regions, Waiheke Island.

Constantly voted among the top 10 most livable cities in the world, Melbourne is better known for its cultural diversity, great street art, wonderful landmarks, and cool museums.

Visit the National Gallery of Victoria for beautiful art, check out the lovely Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, and enjoy a panoramic view from Melbourne Skydeck.

Melbourne also has some great beaches to relax or practice watersports. St. Kilda is, by far, the most popular beach, although Brighton Beach, with its colorful Victorian bathing boxes, is gorgeous.

A must when in Melbourne is taking a day trip to the Great Ocean Road to experience a scenic coastal drive and check out the stunning limestone formations known as the 12 Apostles.

Last but not least, Hawaii is an incredible place to visit if you want to discover some of the most unique landscapes you’ll ever see, relax on postcard beaches, and hike impressive trails.

All the Hawaiian Islands are gorgeous, so it’s hard to go wrong. As a rule of thumb, opt for Maui if you’re planning a classic resort holiday and enjoy relaxing at the beach and snorkeling.

If you want to visit iconic sites such as Pearl Harbor, the capital Honolulu, and Waikiki beach, and you’re up for experiencing Hawaiian nightlife, go to Oahu. Head to Kauai for a laid-back holiday, unspoiled beaches, scenic landscapes, and great hiking spots.

Finally, choose the island of Hawaii (aka the Big Island) for a bit of everything, including great beaches, volcano hikes, waterfalls, snorkeling, and much more.
