Strawberries with Cream Recipe

Some desserts are a marriage of two ingredients that just work to perfection, and that’s very much the case with strawberries and cream. A bed of thick whipped cream compliments any ripe, sweet, moist, and soft yet firm strawberry so well, and complete with a couple of additions, you have a showstopper of a dessert that looks glorious, tastes divine, and is so simple to make.

A classic British dessert, with records of the dish dating back to the reign of King Henry VIII and the lavish banquets royalty and the upper classes would feast at, the popularity of the dessert soon spread to Spanish cuisine, and in time Central and Latin American cuisine.

Hence, today you can find this wonderfully refreshing dessert throughout the Americas, including in the likes of Colombian cuisine, Argentinian cuisine, and Mexican cuisine, among many others. In Argentina, it’s known as Frutillas con Crema.
