4tbspheavy cream or ready-made whipped creammore or less to taste
orange zestfor topping/garnishing
Instructions
If making your own whipped cream, beat the heavy cream with a whisk or mixer until you get medium peaks for the whipped cream. Alternatively, use ready-made whipped cream.
Brew the coffee. I generally use a De’Longhi espresso machine or an Aeropress. You can also use a Moka Pot or your favorite coffee-making method.
Warm up the serving cup or glass by adding some hot water to it for about 10-15 seconds, and then throw the water out.
Add the coffee to the warmed serving cup or glass and add sugar. Stir so it dissolves. I generally use two teaspoons of sugar, but you can add more (if you have quite the sweet tooth).
Add the orange liqueur and stir.
Serve with whipped cream (to taste) and orange zest on top.
Recipe Notes
You can adjust things to your preference (adding more or less sugar, whipped cream, or liqueur). Some versions of this coffee cocktail are also served with grated chocolate on top, so you could also try that!
